Subscription Announcement
Dear Colleagues,
The University Libraries is now subscribing to Scopus.
Clarkson will no longer be subscribing to Web of Science.
A comparison of the functionalities and additional comparison information is available at the University Libraries website.
Both Scopus and Web of Science are abstract and citation databases of peer-reviewed literature and web sources with tools to track, analyze, and visualize research impact.
Scopus provides ease of use and enhanced services, including more robust coverage of recent and global publications. Scopus includes CiteScore as a comparable metric tool to Web of Science’s Journal Citation Reports [JCR]. In addition, Scopus would enhance the functionality of ScienceDirect, one of Clarkson’s most heavily used databases.
As always, the University Libraries take our stewardship of library resources very seriously.
