U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Database

UN Data
OPEN ACCESS. A portal that retrieves data series from the United Nations System and other international organizations. Sources include FAO, ILO, WHO, and the Human Development Report. Country profiles and glossaries are also provided.
UpToDate
An evidence-based clinical tool that provides current options for diagnosis, therapy, and treatment at the point of patient care. Includes drug efficacy, doses, and interactions as well as screening and prevention strategies. NOTE: UpToDate can be accessed from any computer on campus without registering. For off campus access it is necessary to register an account. This must be done while on campus (from a Clarkson IP address). Click “Register” located in the top navigation bar of the UpToDate page and complete the required information, creating a username and password. A confirmation email will be sent to you with information about the UpToDate mobile app. In order to maintain access you must re-verify your Clarkson affiliation once every 90 days. Do this by logging in to UpToDate on a campus computer.
US Newsstream
US Newsstream enables users to search the most recent premium U.S. news content, as well as archives which stretch back into the 1980s featuring newspapers, newswires, blogs, and news sites in active full-text format. For academic and public libraries, US Newsstream offers exclusive access to the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, and co-exclusive access (with Factiva) to The Wall Street Journal. US Newsstream also offers one of the largest collections of local and regional newspapers, and is cross-searchable on the ProQuest platform.

This database provides access to legal materials, including case law, statutes, regulations, and the latest legal news. To access the database, select Sign In from the upper right-hand corner. A new page will open with the option to log in using a username and password or a log in partner. Select the Google icon from the list. When a Google page opens asking you to confirm access, select Continue. Ensure your personal information is correct.
