AI Vision, Health, Biometrics, and Applied Computing

Welcome to the collaborative lab named AI Vision, Health, Biometrics, and Applied Computing (AVHBAC). Dr. Imtiaz, an assistant professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Clarkson University, leads the Lab and directs a bunch of excellent researchers. We are involved in fundamental research on the synergy of wearable microsensors, vision, and computational intelligence to provide fusion solutions to multidisciplinary problems ranging from health to rehabilitation, the environment, and robotics. We have been successful and continuing endeavors towards

a) introducing next-generation vision-enabled assistive, monitor, and control monitor technologies, b) monitoring of health through lab-developed wearable and implantable sensors, c) fabricating novel electrochemical sensor systems, d) developing biometric sensors and biometric data acquisition systems and biometric testing methodologies, and e) introducing Machine Learning and Deep Learning based novel algorithms with a specific focus on the implementation of embedded and mobile processors.
