Early Arrival & Housing – Graduate Students
Potsdam On Campus Summer Housing
Graduate students arriving to Potsdam, NY campus in late May through the first week in August are able to reserve / stay in on-campus housing while they transition to the area and locate suitable / long-term housing accommodations. Students may rent for a few days or up to a month while they transition to the region – dates permitting. To discuss this service and for specific fees, please contact Residence Life at reslife@clarkson.edu.
Summer housing may not be available this year (2020) in light of the Covid-19. Campus is not open at this time. Things may change.
Potsdam Campus Residence
A limited number of on-campus housing (apartment style) are available. The semester rates may be found here. Please contact Residence Life to reserve campus residences. Campus housing is a great solution for those wanting the closest proximity to campus. Students should contact the Residence Life Office by July 1 to receive on-campus housing.
Potsdam Off Campus Housing
Potsdam apartments may be limited. As soon as you know you are definitely coming to Clarkson, you should secure an apartment immediately. A list of housing resources managed by the Graduate Student Association (GSA) is below. These rental agreements are between the student and rental company or landlord. In view of the housing situation, we strongly suggest that you arrive on campus at least two (2) weeks prior to the start of classes.

Schenectady
It is your responsibility to secure appropriate off-campus housing. Clarkson does not offer on-campus accommodations in Schenectady. Suitable apartments close to the graduate center are very limited. As soon as you know you are definitely coming to Clarkson, you should secure an apartment immediately. In view of the housing situation, we strongly suggest that you arrive on campus at least a few days prior to the start of classes.
