Dear Graduate Students,
Today we are reaching out to you to find the next leaders of CUGSA, who will carry forward the momentum of CUGSA and help build a graduate student community in the future. These leaders will start working as the councilors of the Potsdam minor GSA and help the present leaders to achieve immediate organizational goals, by serving as the crucial members of the CUGSA graduate council.

Why should you apply?
The leaders would have the opportunity to help develop the graduate community and in turn, work to hone their leadership skills to take over from the present leaders of the CUGSA executive board. Graduate students, who would be selected as councilors would have the following few unique and important opportunity:
- To work with the administration and represent the graduate community in high level academic and operational committees.
- Meet with President Collins, Board of Trustees of Clarkson University, and discuss the graduate student affairs and mold the shape of the graduate student community.
- To gain leadership training and continue to develop the leadership and managerial skills through different projects aimed towards developing the graduate community.
- Opportunity in April 2021 to contest for the CUGSA executive board positions and work with the administrators of graduate school and Office of students Life to discuss and develop policies and regulations as the leaders of the graduate student community.
What does CUGSA do?
CUGSA is continuing to build a better community for graduate students. In the last few months, CUGSA leaders worked with Clarkson University administration as the advocate of the graduate students and addressed numerous issues of the graduate student community – more information and details can be found here.
Graduate student leaders of CUGSA are working hard to build a graduate student community and address many present concerns of graduate students. We recognize that there is much work to be done to establish an active community, that is why your participation as student leaders would an invaluable asset to us for taking positive steps forward.
