About the Artist

Felix Vigil has been creating art since he was a child, taught and inspired by his father, Frank Vigil, a highly regarded Jicarilla Apache artist. After his father’s untimely passing, Felix pursued art as a profession and in 1980 graduated from the prestigious Maryland Institute College of Art with a degree in painting.
Felix participates in the Santa Fe Indian Market and numerous shows across the country. He has received many major awards and accolades for his work including the Peabody Award for the artwork in the movie “Surviving Columbus”.
