About Dr. Bohl

Biography

Dr. Bohl earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1992 from The University of Connecticut and his M.S and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University in 1996 and 2002 respectively. Dr. Bohl joined Clarkson Unversity in 2006 and is currently a Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Outside of work Dr. Bohl is an avid biker. He is most at home on his mountain bike riding on the local trails and training for endurance races. In 2013 he competed in and finished the Leadville Trail 100, a 100 mile mountain bike race high in the mountains of Colorado. During the winter Dr. Bohl’s interests switch to the sport of luge where he competes as a Masters athlete, currently acts as the president of the Adirondack Luge Club, and is a race official for the US Luge Association. Dr. Bohl volunteers in the community as a member of the Potsdam Volunteer Rescue Squad (PVRS) and Search and Rescue of the Northern Adirondacks (SARNAK).
