About the Artist
Born in Idabel, Oklahoma, his talent was recognized at an early age by Harold Stevenson, who also hailed from Idabel and whose abstract expressionism first shocked the New York art scene in the 1950s and ’60s alongside Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, and Jackson Pollock.
