Lucassie Ikkidluak

Lucassie has been carving since 1967. He learned by watching others carve and wanted to earn extra money. For him carving is hard work and is his full time job. His brothers Joannie and Iola, as well as his sister Oloota are also artists.

Lucassie Ikkidluak is a master carver and a forefather to the Inuit art world in regards to his Muskox. In fact, galleries like ours line up just to get a chance to acquire his majestically crafted muskox. They are so unique, yet are so well done in the sense of style, proportions, coloring and subject.

To do these muskox’s in such superb form, took Lucassie most of his life to perfect. Their is a very high demand for his pieces as they are sought after across the world.

Muskox sculptures by Lucassie have been featured in numerous international and national exhibitions, have won numerous awards and prizes and have been acquired by numerous high end infamous collectors and socialites.
