Have one student act as notetaker (7-8 minutes).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Come back together as a class (approx. 8-10 minutes). Have each group report back.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Teacher: Make a list of principles that emerge from the discussion as guidelines for respectful dialogue. Post the list somewhere visible so class members can keep those principles in mind as the class moves into the next activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the recap, teachers might want to include the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Listen actively to classmates. Pay attention to what they\u2019re saying and what reasoning they give.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Show respect to all members of the conversation. For instance, try to understand their point of view. Assume they are acting in good faith even if you disagree with them.
