What is the Rod and Gun Club?

The Clarkson Rod & Gun Club, typically referred to as “CRAG” or “RAG”, is one of the most present clubs on campus at Clarkson. As a club we hold various types of equipment, which includes ice fishing gear, waterfowl hunting decoys, as well as turkey hunting gear. All equipment is available for our members to check out in order to aid in any hunting or fishing one might partake in, while in the North Country.

CRAG also holds Clarkson’s Collegiate Clay Team. Our Clay Team travels to compete in Maryland for Regionals, and as well as Nationals in San Antonio, Texas. While the Clay Team is a more serious group, anyone is welcomed to partake in practice which occurs weekly at our local Rod & Gun Club. To see our showcased events, visit our Instagram that is kept up to date. https://www.instagram.com/cu_rodgun/

Why Us?

Rather than sit at home during the week before moving into college, you could rather be out fishing and shooting clays, with like-minded individuals who love the fishing, hunting and the clay shooting aspects of the outdoors. Our trip will have 7 leaders ready to take 12 students under their wing as they go fishing and clay shooting during the days before freshman orientation begins. To see our Orientation leaders please visit our Instagram page as they are showcased there. https://www.instagram.com/cu_rodgun/ We all can’t wait for you to sign up to join us in our shenanigans as your freshman year is just about to begin.
