Due to the powers vested in its&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/documents\/charter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Charter<\/a>&nbsp;and its unique international character, the United Nations can take action on the issues confronting humanity in the 21st century, such as peace and security, climate change, sustainable development, human rights, disarmament, terrorism, humanitarian and health emergencies, gender equality, governance, food production, and more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/en.unesco.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UNESCO &#8211; UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization<\/a> &#8211; UNESCO seeks to build peace through international cooperation in Education, the Sciences and Culture. UNESCO&#8217;s programmes contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals defined in Agenda 2030, adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2015.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unicef.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UNICEF<\/a> &#8211; UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to save children\u2019s lives, to defend their rights, and to help them fulfil their potential, from early childhood through adolescence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.idea.int\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IDEA &#8211; The Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance<\/a> &#8211; &#8220;We advance democracy worldwide, as a universal human aspiration and an enabler of sustainable development, through support to the building, strengthening and safeguarding of democratic political institutions and processes at all levels.&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/thecommonwealth.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Commonwealth<\/a> &#8211; The Commonwealth is a voluntary association of&nbsp;54 independent countries. We do so using the world&#8217;s largest and most complex scientific instruments. At CERN, our work helps to uncover what the universe is made of and how it works. We do this by providing a unique range of particle accelerator facilities to researchers, to advance the boundaries of human knowledge.&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a title=\"\" data-toggle=\"popover\" data-trigger=\"hover\" data-placement=\"bottom\" data-html=\"true\" data-title=\"Description\" data-content=\"World Health Organization\" data-original-title=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/www.who.int\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WHO<\/a> &#8211; WHO works worldwide to promote health, keep the world safe, and serve the vulnerable. The WHO&#8217;s goal is to ensure that a billion more people have universal health coverage, to protect a billion more people from health emergencies, and provide a further billion people with better health and well-being.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.icrc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">International Committee of the Red Cross<\/a> &#8211; Established in 1863, the ICRC operates worldwide, helping people affected by conflict and armed violence and promoting the laws that protect victims of war. An independent and neutral organization, its mandate stems essentially from the Geneva Conventions of 1949.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.irena.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)<\/a> &#8211; Supporting countries in their transition to a sustainable energy future<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.iucn.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">International Union for the Conservation of Nature<\/a> &#8211; IUCN is a membership Union composed of both government and civil society organizations. It harnesses the experience, resources and reach of its more than&nbsp;1,400 Member organizations&nbsp;and the input of more than&nbsp;17,000 experts. This diversity and vast expertise makes IUCN the global authority on the status of the natural world and the measures needed to safeguard it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.isa.org.jm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">International Seabed Authority<\/a> &#8211; Made up of 167 Member States, and the European Union, the International Seabed Authority is mandated under the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea to organize, regulate and control all mineral-related activities in the international seabed area for the benefit of mankind as a whole.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.itlos.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea<\/a>&nbsp; &#8211; The International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea is an independent judicial body established by the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea to adjudicate disputes arising out of the interpretation and application of the Convention. It was established in June 1945 by the Charter of the United Nations and began work in April 1946.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.idlo.int\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">International Development Law Organization<\/a> &#8211; IDLO is the only global intergovernmental organization exclusively devoted to promoting the rule of law and sustainable development. Experience working in more than 90 countries around the world with various legal systems.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.interpol.int\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">INTERPOL<\/a> &#8211; The International Criminal Police Organization is an inter-governmental organization of 194 member countries.
