\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Current Research<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strengthening Metallic Nanofoams Through Ligament Scale Materials Design                      (NSF-CMMI-1634772)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The major goals of the project are: (1) To provide the fundamental knowledge, using a combination of computational and experimental techniques, to isolate and subsequently relate the foam geometry and individual ligament mechanical properties of composite foams to the macroscopic strength, and (2) To gain insight needed for developing novel
