This national recognition highlights collegiate EMS agencies that demonstrate strong emergency preparedness, inter-agency coordination, and a commitment to keeping their campus communities safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The designation reflects CUEMS\u2019 comprehensive work over the 2023\u20132024 academic year to evaluate and strengthen our operational readiness. As a 100% student-run, NYS accredited BLS First Response agency, CUEMS serves Clarkson\u2019s 3,400-person campus with an annual call volume of 200+ calls. This recognition also affirms our integration with Clarkson Campus Safety &amp; Security (CSS), Environmental Health &amp; Safety, and regional emergency services across St. Lawrence County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.clarkson.edu\/cuems\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2025\/11\/Clarkson-EMS-Photoshoot-Oct-2025-861.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-468\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What Is an EMS Ready Campus?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The EMS Ready Campus program looks at how well a collegiate EMS agency prepares for major emergencies, not just everyday medical calls. To earn recognition, CUEMS demonstrated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strong communication and campus alert systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaboration with Clarkson Campus Safety and municipal agencies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advanced training in incident command, triage, and scene management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regular practice through drills and mock-scenario events<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plans for responding to large-scale incidents or special situations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engagement with the campus community through safety education and outreach<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Being named an EMS Ready Campus means Clarkson has a well-coordinated system designed to protect students during both routine incidents and unexpected events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.clarkson.edu\/cuems\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2025\/11\/Clarkson-EMS-Photoshoot-Oct-2025-19.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-480\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How CUEMS Helps Keep Clarkson Safe<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>CUEMS is a 100% student-run EMS agency on campus that responds to medical emergencies 24\/7 during the academic year.
