Zarem Graduate Student Award for Distinguished Achievement<\/a> in Aeronautics.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Steve Monroe presented his work at the AIAA Region I conference on March 31, 2023. He also won a third-place prize in the Master&#8217;s category.<\/strong> His paper was titled &#8220;<strong><em>Parallel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aiaa.org\/news\/news\/2023\/05\/09\/aiaa-announces-2023-regional-student-conference-winners\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Unsteady Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes (URANS) Studies of the Performance of ONR Waterjet AxWJ<\/a>-2<\/em><\/strong>.&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On September 27, 2021, Chi Ding successfully defended his M.S. thesis titled &#8220;<strong><em>High-order large-eddy simulations of a ducted wind turbine<\/em><\/strong>.&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Harry Werner won 1st place in the Master&#8217;s category at the 2020 AIAA Region I Conference<\/strong>. His presentation was titled &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aiaa.org\/news\/news\/2020\/06\/01\/aiaa-announces-2020-regional-student-conference-winners\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><em>3-D Large Eddy Simulation of Dynamic Stall on a Dynamically Pitching Airfoil<\/em><\/strong>.&#8221;<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"90\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.clarkson.edu\/cmhg\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/82\/2023\/09\/GWU_seas_logo-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-51\" style=\"width:753px;height:226px\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Christopher Cox<\/strong> -George Washington University Research Day 2015, SEAS Graduate Theoretical Award: First Prize. Presentation Title: \u201cDevelopment of a fast algorithm for solving the unsteady Incompressible Navier-Stokes equations\u201d, Advised by Professors Chunlei Liang and Michael Plesniak. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mae.seas.gwu.edu\/dr-liang-receives-2014-aiaa-national-capital-section-hal-andrews-young-engineer-scientist-year\">Dr. Liang receives 2014 AIAA National Capital Section Hal Andrews Young Engineer Scientist of the Year Award.<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Andrew DeJong presented his work at the 2014 joint UMD, JHU, and GWU Fluid Dynamics Symposium.
