DESCRIPTION:“In May 1985\, Dr. Gordy Klatt walked and ran for 24 hours around a track in Tacoma\, Washington\, ultimately raising $27\,000 to help the American Cancer Society fight the nation’s biggest health concern – cancer. A year later\, 340 supporters joined the overnight event. Since those first steps\, the Relay For Life movement has grown into a worldwide phenomenon\, raising nearly $5 billion to fight cancer.”\n– American Cancer Society\nThe American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life (aka Re-Lei for Life) 2026 event will be beach/tropical-themed! Come join us in honoring and supporting those who have been affected by cancer. This is a community-wide event\, everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend! There will be games\, activities\, food\, a Luminaria Ceremony\, and recognition of survivors. With performances by many Clarkson student groups\, you’re sure to have an entertaining night.
