Join us for Behind the Armor, a new professional networking series that brings Clarkson alumni together to share their journeys, challenges, triumphs, and the moments that have helped to shape their careers. Each session features a local Golden Knight who will offer a behind-the-scenes look at their path, offering candid insight and practical wisdom. Whether you're early in your career or looking to expand your network, this is a space to connect, learn, and grow through authentic conversation, mentorship, and meaningful relationships. For our flagship event, Michael Hayduk '91 of the Air Force Research Lab will be speaking.Dr. Michael J. Hayduk is the Deputy Director, Information Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory, Rome, New York. The directorate’s mission is to lead the development and integration of Air Force warfighting information technologies for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, and Cyber. Dr. Hayduk plays a key role in overseeing an annual budget of over $1.5 billion, leading the activities of over 1,200 employees. With over 50 journal and conference papers published and one US patent, Dr. Hayduk is a senior advisor for the Quantum Information Science research portfolio for AFRL. He was also instrumental in the formulation and stand-up of the Innovare Advancement Center, the open innovation technology hub located just outside of the security perimeter of the Information Directorate in Rome, NY. Dr. Hayduk earned a B.S from Clarkson University, an M.S from the University of Virginia and his Ph.D. from Cornell University, all in electrical engineering.Come for the story.
