ACS General Body Meeting #5 – Mole-cool Mocktails

It’s time for our sixth General Body Meeting of the semester, and this week we’re continuing our hands-on exploration of the chemistry of flavor with a mocktail-making night!
We’ll be mixing and sampling a variety of delicious, non-alcoholic drinks — each with its own cultural and chemical twist:
🍒 Shirley Temple – A timeless favorite with lemon-lime soda or ginger ale, grenadine, and a maraschino cherry on top.
🌾 Horchata – A smooth, cinnamon-sweet drink rooted in Egyptian origins and now beloved across Mexico and Spain.
🍍 Piña Colada – Cream of coconut meets Pineapple Coconut Sparkling Ice for an easy tropical delight.
🥥 Coquito – A Puerto Rican classic featuring creamy coconut goodness for the perfect finish.
Bring your own cup to help us reduce waste, and come ready to stir, sip, and learn a little chemistry behind your favorite flavors!
